INTERNAL MEMBERS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Prof. Stefano Bonometti<\/strong>, Associate Professor in Teaching Methodology (Didactics) at Universit\u00e0 degli Studi dell\u2019Insubria (UIN). Prof. Bonometti is an expert in adult education, networking in social and health contexts, medical humanities, ICT applied to training and educational contexts. He is a member of the Clinical Ethics Research Centre – CREC of the University of Insubria. He has carried out health research about the use of social networking as a community of shared practices between patients and health professionals. He has recently published for the Morcelliana Publisher a book entitled \u201cDidattica della bioetica\u201d (\u201cDidactics of bioethics\u201d).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Prof. Matteo Matteucci<\/strong> from Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). Prof. Matteucci is expert of pattern recognition, machine learning, deep learning, machine perception, robotics, computer vision and signal processing. He is a member of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics lab of Politecnico di Milano, one of the first AI laboratories established in Italy in 1971. In the ESSENCE project, he will be in charge of developing data driven models and algorithms within the project ESSENCE.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Prof. Alessandra Pedrocchi<\/strong>, from Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). Prof. Pedrocchi is responsible for the Neuroengineering Section of Neuroengineering and Medical Robotics laboratory (NearLab) of Politecnico di Milano and she is expert in biomechanics of motor control, neurorobotics, design of bioartificial interfaces to in-vitro neurons and new technologies for neurorehabilitation, with a special emphasis on neuroprostheses and the study of the correlation between brain plasticity and functional recovery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Prof. N.<\/strong> Alberto Borghese<\/strong> from Universit\u00e0 degli Studi di Milano (UMIL). He is Full Professor in Computer Science and director of the Applied Intelligent Systems Laboratory, whose mission is to develop methods and algorithms based on computational intelligence with particular attention to limited processing time. In the last ten years, applications to e-Health and e-Welfare have been developed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Manuel Cid<\/strong> from Extremadura Fundesalud (FS). He is neuropsychologist, actually, Coordinator of Intersectorial Programs in Sociosantiary Care in Regional Minister of Health Extremadura. In the last 15 years, he has been working in various medical centers dealing with degenerative dementia and brain damage. In the Public Administration, he has been coordinating the design and implementation of the Integral Plan of Social and Health Care to cognitive impairment in Extremadura [PIDEX]. He is also practicing as a child neuropsychologist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Prof. Naomi Josman<\/strong> from University of Haifa (UH). Prof. Josman’s is the Associate Dean for research in the Faculty of social Welfare & Health Sciences, at the University of Haifa. Her research focus on areas of cognitive rehabilitation, specifically cognition, metacognition and its influence on every day function, in the use of virtual reality in rehabilitation both in the aging population and in individuals with neurological conditions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n \u00a0<\/p>\n EXTERNAL MEMBERS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n Barbara Bottalico<\/strong> is a Post-Doc Fellow at the Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pavia, focusing her research in the field of Law and New Technologies, and Lecturer on contract in Bioethics at the School of Medicine, Dipartimento di Sanit\u00e0 Pubblica, Medicina Sperimentale e Forense, University of Pavia. She also practices as Lawyer in Milan (Italy), and she is specialized in Labour Law and Data Protection Law LawShe advices Italian and multinational companies, in Italian and English. She has been ethical and legal advisor, in various Italian and European project focused on medical research and technology, such as CAPABLE capable-project.eu<\/a> (2020-2021) o PyXy.AI (Telehealth-ready AI-powered multiparametric system for surveillance of COVID19 and cardio-pulmonary chronic patients (2020), COVID19_l@b (2020), RockEU (2016-2017). She served for 6 years (2013-2019) as the legal member of the Ethical Committee at the IRCCSS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n Michael Cannon <\/strong>is a Doctoral Researcher working in Philosophy and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence at Eindhoven University of Technology (TUe). Integrating research from AI, Enactive Cognitive Science, Complexity Science, and the Extended Evolutionary Synthesis, with metaphysics and ontology, his research explores the possibilities and meanings of AI becoming \u201cmore ethical\u201d than humans.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n Pier Cesare Rivoltella<\/strong> is full professor of Educational Technology at the Catholic University of Milan where he is director of CREMIT (Research Center on Media, Innovation and Technology Education), coordinator of the course Degree in Primary Education and director of master RED (Educational Robotics) and master MEM – Media Education Manager. Founder and actual president of SIREM (Italian Society of Research on Medial Education), he is editor in chief of the journals “REM – Research on Education and Media” and “EAS \u2013 Essere a scuola” and he is a member of the scientific committee of several scientific journals, in Italy and abroad.
